Stop Looking at Your Portfolio During a Market Crash

9 Aug 2026 · 0:50 · Watch on YouTube

Description

When markets fall, fear is always louder than logic. Investing is not about knowing balance sheets or P/E ratios. It is about how you behave when things get uncomfortable. People watching their portfolio every day are only making it worse. The more you look, the more you think about how far it can still fall and that leads to poor decisions at exactly the wrong time. Some of the best advice I have ever given a client is also the cheekiest. Stop looking at your portfolio. If you are not watching every day you will not notice the short term moves and it allows the people running the businesses you own to get on with what they do best. General Advice Only.
