1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using The Wealth Lab, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who We Are

The Wealth Lab is a free service run by Consortium Private Wealth in Horsham, Victoria, Australia (“we”, “us”). You can reach us through the contact page.

3. Description of Service

The Wealth Lab has a fantasy share market game, and videos and answers from Rob Goudie. You are given virtual currency to buy and sell stocks based on real market prices. No real money is involved. You cannot deposit, withdraw, or convert virtual currency to real money.

Virtual cash, holdings, portfolios, rankings, and achievements have no monetary value. You cannot sell them or transfer them to another player, game, or account.

5. Prices and Market Data

Prices come from third-party data providers. Any price shown in the game, whether or not it looks current, may be delayed, rounded, incomplete, or wrong. Some prices update every few minutes during market hours; others update only once a day after the market closes.

Trades fill at the price we hold when the order is processed, which can differ from the price on the exchange at that moment. While the US market is closed, a market order for a US-listed stock fills at the last closing price. In a game set to wait for the open, it fills at the first price of the next trading session instead.

6. Game Rules

• Each game’s settings, such as its starting balance, markets, dates, trade fees, and trading options, are set by the game’s creator and shown on the game page. They form part of these terms for that game.
• Your portfolio value is your virtual cash plus your holdings at the latest price we hold, converted to the game’s currency at the latest AUD/USD exchange rate we hold.
• The leaderboard ranks players by portfolio value. Players with the same value share the place, whatever order the leaderboard lists them in.
• A game ends after its end date passes. Final rankings use portfolio values at the time the game ends. Prices received after a game ends do not count.
• Values shown during the day can change when end-of-day prices arrive or when data is corrected.

7. Corrections and Corporate Actions

If a price, exchange rate, or calculation is wrong, we may correct it, recalculate portfolio values and rankings, and reverse or reprice any trade that used it. This applies to finished games too.

We apply corporate actions by hand, so some may be applied late or not at all:

• Dividends are credited as virtual cash to players holding the stock when we apply them.
• Splits and consolidations adjust your number of shares and average cost. Part shares may be rounded down.
• Suspensions, delistings, takeovers, and removals. If a stock stops trading or is removed from the game, we may keep valuing it at its last available price, convert it to virtual cash at that price or another price we consider fair, or remove it.

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Wealth Lab. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

9. Account Conduct

You agree to:

• Use an email address you own, and keep it working so you can sign in
• Not create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantage
• Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the game
• Be respectful in chat — no harassment, hate speech, or spam
• Not attempt to manipulate leaderboards or exploit bugs or price errors

You are responsible for what you post in chat. If we believe you have broken the letter or the spirit of these terms, or gained an unfair advantage, we may remove chat messages, remove you from a game, reset or adjust your portfolio, or suspend or terminate your account.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users’ accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service without permission

11. Prizes and Bets

The Wealth Lab does not award prizes. If a game creator or players offer a prize or make a bet among themselves, that arrangement is between them. We are not a party to it, and we do not guarantee any result, ranking, or that a game will run to its end date. You are responsible for making sure any such arrangement is legal where you live.

12. Intellectual Property

The Wealth Lab and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Consortium Private Wealth. Stock market data is provided by third-party sources and is subject to their terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Wealth Lab is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for:

• Inaccurate or delayed stock price data
• Loss of virtual currency or game progress
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Any real-world financial decisions influenced by the game
• Any prize or bet arranged between players

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. We may also terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms.

15. Changes to or Discontinuation of the Service

We may change, suspend, or permanently shut down any game, or The Wealth Lab as a whole, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. If a game or the service is shut down, your portfolios, virtual currency, rankings, and other game data may be deleted and will not be recoverable. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for any change, suspension, or shutdown.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
