Why super is actually a cool investment strategy if you're under 30!
Description
The First Home Super Saver Scheme is one of the most overlooked strategies for first home buyers in Australia.
If you’ve never owned property before, you may be able to make extra concessional contributions to your super and benefit from the lower 15% tax rate, rather than paying your full marginal tax rate.
Currently, eligible Australians can contribute up to $15,000 per financial year and later withdraw up to $50,000 plus associated earnings to help purchase their first home.
Like all government schemes, there are rules and eligibility requirements, so it’s important to understand how it works before making any decisions.
For many first home buyers, it can be a tax-effective way to build a deposit faster.
