Description

When you have assets across different structures, it’s important to understand the role each one plays in supporting your financial goals.

Your superannuation, personal assets, company structures, and trust structures may all provide different opportunities when it comes to reducing work hours, creating additional income, or preparing for retirement.

It’s also important to remember that access to superannuation is generally subject to certain conditions, such as reaching age 60 and retiring, or reaching age 65.

If you plan to reduce your working hours or retire before accessing your super, having other assets outside of super may help provide the income and flexibility needed to maintain your lifestyle.

Reviewing the income generated from each source, along with available cash reserves, can help you understand how your overall financial structure supports your future plans.
