Diversification is really important. If you think about having all of your financial assets, all of your cash invested in just one asset, that might be one property or it might be one business on the stock exchange. If that one business or that property burns down, that's all of your net wealth gone.
Diversified in different asset classes whether that's property and shares, and cash, and fixed interest is one way to go about it and then also diversifying within each of those asset classes as well so having multiple term deposits having multiple businesses on the stock exchange to really make sure you're diversified as much as you can. Also geographically diversify so don't just invest in the australian's share market go international go to the U.S. as well.
