Description

If you’re in Aus and want to start investing, it’s actually pretty simple.

If you’re with one of the big four banks, they all have their own brokerage platforms. You can usually just set up a trading account that links straight to your bank account.

If not, just Google Australian broking platforms and compare brokerage fees. Brokerage is just the fee you pay to buy and sell shares.

Over 18? You can open your own account.
Under 18? A parent or guardian will need to set one up in trust for you.

Once it’s set up, you literally:
search the company → hit buy → choose how much → place the trade.

Two business days later, the money settles and you own part of that business.
