Description

Retirement calculators can be useful, but only if they’re conservative.
We don’t base them on 10–12% returns just because markets have done that before. We dial it back and factor in inflation, because over time that’s what really eats away at your money.
It’s not about best case, it’s about planning for worst case. Markets can be volatile, and if your plan only works when everything goes right, it’s not a good plan.
Build it conservative, and you’ll be in a much stronger position long term.
General advice only.
