SMSF: More Control, More Responsibility
Description
Self-managed Superannuation funds are fantastic structure to really understand where your money is invested and why, to have strategic control of your assets and the way they are allocated for the members benefit. But they are definitely not a one size fit all, they come with less protection, they come with more obligation such as an annual tax return and audit. And whether they are cheaper to run depends on the way the money is invested. In the past we would set them up for access to international shares, but that’s no longer required as technology has improved and we can access the world share markets via rap accounts such as Netwealth or hub24. Self managed superannuation fund benefit from critical mass so for larger benefits there is cost savings, but this depends on the way you’ve invested.
