Stop Checking Your Portfolio During a Market Crash

10 Aug 2026 · 0:57 · Watch on YouTube

Description

When markets are falling the biggest trap is watching your portfolio too closely while listening to the news. Regardless of what markets are doing, there are tens of thousands of people showing up every day to improve the businesses you own. Microsoft alone has over 200,000 people working to make their products better and solve problems for people around the world. That does not stop because the share price moves. So instead of checking your portfolio daily, go and read a quarterly report. Read what the CEO is doing, what the chairman is focused on, what initiatives the business is pursuing. Find out what the business is actually doing. Otherwise you end up just barracking for the share price to go up. And that is not how share markets work. General Advice Only.
