You can actually start your Age Pension claim up to 13 weeks before you become eligible
Description
You can actually start your Age Pension claim up to 13 weeks before you become eligible.
Services Australia has just reminded Australians approaching pension age to get their documents organised early.
And there's a reason for that.
You may need documents covering your identity, residency, bank accounts, investments, superannuation and account-based pensions.

Turning 67 doesn't automatically mean Centrelink starts paying you.
You still have to apply.
