Concessional contributions cap for this financial year
Description
New financial year, new concessional contribution cap.
From 1 July 2026, the concessional contribution cap has increased from $30,000 to $32,500.
This means you may be able to contribute an extra $2,500 into super before tax, depending on your situation.
Concessional contributions are taxed at 15% inside super, rather than your marginal tax rate, which can make them a tax-effective way to build your retirement savings.
More room to contribute, more potential to grow your super, and more opportunity to plan smarter this financial year.
Always check your contribution limits and get advice based on your personal circumstances.
