Description

Replying to @classiclivingideas whilst nonconcessional contributions to Superannuation won’t provide you a tax deduction on the money you invest only a concessional contribution can reduce your taxable income. The benefit of doing this is that any future income that you earn from that investment will be taxed with Superannuation at either 15% or once with pension at 0% instead of your marginal tax rate. This strategy becomes more attractive as people get closer to preservation age which is age 60 which means you have access to some of your Superannuation.
