People focus too heavily on the retirement lump sum whether it be $750,000 or $1 million
Description
Focusing on the retirement lump sum whether it be $750,000 or $1 million in my thinking is the wrong question or goal for people to be thinking about. What we should be thinking about is how much income we need to live that allows us to build memories and enjoy ourselves reducing future regret. Between your Investments and potential future Centrelink payments might you be working to get to a future lump sum that you don’t actually need which can allow you to retire earlier to ensure that you are not wasting your health and building memories earlier to reduce future regret.
