Why quitting work overnight can backfire
Description
Retirement doesn’t need to be a cliff. It can be a gradual transition. If you enjoy your work, the social connection and sense of purpose it brings, stepping away completely doesn’t have to happen overnight. You might reduce your hours, explore a part-time second career or make more room for hobbies, volunteering and family. The key is understanding your finances and how they can support that transition, including enjoying the experiences that matter while you’re healthy enough to make the most of them. Retirement is a new stage of life. Give yourself room to shape it around what you value. General advice only. Consortium Private Wealth AFSL 495401
