What we call short term volatility
Description
Market drops feel scary. They are also normal.
Volatility is part of investing. Even great companies like CommBank can fall sharply in the short term. But investors who have held since the 1990s have seen extraordinary returns despite every dip along the way.
When prices pull back from recent highs people get nervous. That is emotion talking, not strategy.
Short term markets are driven by fear and greed. Long term wealth is built by human progress, businesses improving, and economies growing over time.
Stay the course.
